Matthew joined IFCO Seedlings in the fall of 2023 and is based out of Altha, FL. As a Genetic Investment Advisor, he supports our reforestation partners in Florida, Georgia & Alabama. His experience in land management and reforestation brings added value to the clients he serves.
Prior to joining IFCO Seedlings, Matthew spent 8 years as a forester and general manager of Neal Land & Timber Company and also owns a reforestation and fire management business. His experience in the forests of the Florida Panhandle provided him valuable insight into silvicultural processes and species selection on poorly drained soils. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Resources from the University of Georgia.
Matthew is an active member of the Society of American Foresters and a regular supporter of the Association of Consulting Foresters. He is a member of the Florida Forestry Association where he serves as a Board member. He actively participates in Georgia and Alabama forestry association meetings across the SE region and represents IFCO Seedlings at every available opportunity. He is also a licensed Real Estate salesperson in Florida.
Matthew enjoys spending time with his wife, Amber, and their two beautiful children Abigail and Danielle. He also is also still active in prescribed burning and enjoys shooting sports and motorsports as hobbies.
